Dr. Pasenau is a clinical instructor for vascular surgery at Kelowna General Hospital. He has more than 20 years of experience in all aspects of vascular surgery including open and endovascular treatment. He enjoys teaching medical students and residents.
Dr. Pasenau grew up in Calgary and received a BSc from Queen’s University. He returned to Calgary for medical school where he developed an interest in vascular surgery. He completed his general surgery residency in Toronto prior to obtaining his vascular fellowship at McMaster University. Royal Prince Alfred hospital in Sydney Australia provided additional fellowship training in endovascular techniques including aneurysm repair in one of the birth places of EVAR.
Dr. Pasenau has served as head of vascular surgery at Kelowna General Hospital. He was program chair for the Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery meeting in Newfoundland and is a past president of the Pacific Northwest Vascular Society.
On his days off he enjoys the outdoors that Kelowna provides in spades. Interests include skiing, cycling, golfing, hockey, following his children’s sports and travel.
