Dr. Mostowy graduated medical school at the University of Toronto. He remained at the University of Toronto for his General Surgery and Vascular Surgery training. He pursued further endovascular and open training at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital in the United Kingdom and at St. James’s Hospital in Dublin, Ireland. These additional fellowships supplemented his Canadian training. They provided him with peripheral endovascular skills for his first practice at the Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario, which were unique to Canada at that time. He then joined the Kelowna General Vascular group in 2007 and his expertise and care has evolved with the everchanging vascular practice.

Dr. Mostowy is active with teaching at all levels – the community, health care workers, medical students, residents, and practicing physicians. He is the Undergraduate Education Lead for Vascular Surgery for the Southern Medical Program and has received the Year 3 Surgery Teaching Award. His interests include education, clinical practice, and clinical research. He has presented to regional, national, and European meetings. He values interaction and clinical discussion with his Canadian, American, and European colleagues whom are important influences in his career.

Personal time is devoted to his three amazing young daughters. His hobbies include reading, being a foodie with cooking and a passion for discovering new cuisine, and participating in community arts and events. He values family above all else, and considers the Kelowna Vascular Group to be his.
