Dr. Baxter is vascular and endovascular surgeon at Vancouver General Hospital and also the Chief of Surgery at Vancouver Acute Hospitals. He has previously served as President of Canadian Society for Vascular Surgery, the head of the University of British Columbia (UBC) Division of Vascular Surgery postgraduate training program, and as the head of Vascular Surgery for UBC and Vancouver General Hospital.
Dr. Baxter specializes in managing all aspects of arterial and venous care. He has special interest in complex endovascular treatment of aortic pathology, and has served as a proctor for advanced endovascular aortic cases throughout North America. Dr. Baxter completed his Vascular Surgery education at UBC in 2007, and subsequently trained in advanced endovascular interventions in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia. He also values his time educating future surgeons
